Salt

It’s healthier to salt foods with unrefined sea salt. Refined white table salts often contain aluminium-based agents. Aluminium is linked with heavy metal toxicity and possibly Alzheimer’s disease.

Dextrose (a sugar) is another additive that can be found in table salt and is used in iodised salt (salt with iodine added) to keep the salt from turning purple. Other problems associated with chemicals found in table salt are kidney problems, mineral mal-absorption, elevated blood pressure, kidney disturbances and water retention.
